VECTORCLAD plays in landscape
Pick a 40-foot frame, the FS-07A Vanguard or the HV-02 Obsidian heavy, and ride a Kestrel H lifter in from the harbor to a Financial District overrun by spider-frames: six-legged machines that crawl the towers, leap from roof to roof and come at you with plasma, lasers, webs, mortars and suicide pounces. Scorpion-frames dig up out of the streets to claw and sting, but none can climb more than 100 feet up a wall. Heavier frames bridge the gaps between roofs, and a black millipede hundreds of feet long can crawl out of a portal and drape itself over the city blocks. Kestrels set Bastion tanks down in the streets to hunt them with you. This is a tech demo: nothing attacks until you summon it, so press ` in the fight to call in any monster, from a single spider to two hundred riftlings, through portals in the sky.

VECTORCLAD is still a tech demo, so nothing will attack on its own. Press ` (the key left of 1) at any time to open the summon menu: pick a monster, set how many, and hit Summon. Each one drops out of its own portal about 800 ft ahead of where you're looking.
On a touchscreen, tap Summon at the top right.
